Attention seniors and caregivers! Come to the free seminar and learn the answers to commonly asked questions about memory loss. Arlene Ige, Education & Training Coordinator from the Alzheimer’s Association Aloha Chapter, will help us understand these questions: How do I recognize changes due to normal aging versus the warning signs for Alzheimer’s disease? What is Alzheimer’s disease? What can I do to lead a more brain healthy lifestyle?

Aina Haina Public Library is located in the Aina Haina Shopping Center. It opened its doors to the public on October 18, 1962 with 8,000 books, replacing bookmobile service to the area. The architect for the building was Edward Aotani; the contractor was D.K. Nagata. The 11,068-square foot facility is carpeted and air-conditioned and currently has over 68,000 books, periodicals, and audiovisuals. Many programs for people of all ages are held throughout the year. The library is blessed with an active local Friends group who hold several very popular book sales for the community each year.
