New Aina Haina Public Library Website
The library is pleased to announce its new website and domain name: ainahainalibrary.org. Whether you are looking up a book, using an online database, trying to finish your homework, or checking out events at the library, the web is the primary way to access library information. The new website is tailored to the interests of the Aina Haina and surrounding communities and we would like to take the opportunity to promote the numerous digital resources provided by the Hawaii State Public Library System.
About
Aina Haina Public Library is located in the Aina Haina Shopping Center. It opened its doors to the public on October 18, 1962 with 8,000 books, replacing bookmobile service to the area. The architect for the building was Edward Aotani; the contractor was D.K. Nagata. The 11,068-square foot facility is carpeted and air-conditioned and currently has over 68,000 books, periodicals, and audiovisuals. Many programs for people of all ages are held throughout the year. The library is blessed with an active local Friends group who hold several very popular book sales for the community each year.
